Assistant Men's & Women's Tennis Coach (Intern) - Allegheny College

Allegheny College, a member of the NCAA Division III and North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), is currently seeking applications for an Assistant Men?s & Women?s Tennis Coach. This is a ten-month entry level position that includes basic medical coverage and a competitive salary.? The ideal candidate is seeking experience in the college coaching profession and will be provided professional development opportunities as a part of this program.

The College sponsors 21 NCAA Division III athletic programs, as well as a vibrant offering of club sports, intramural, fitness and outdoor recreational activities.? Located within 2 hours of Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Buffalo, our location provides a rich recruiting area for our athletic programs.? Allegheny College offers excellent tennis facilities with four indoor courts and twelve lighted, outdoor courts.

Bachelor?s degree required; Master?s degree preferred.? Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist head coach with the organization and direction of all aspects of a competitive tennis program. Specific responsibilities include identification and recruitment of athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; regular practice sessions and game preparation; and assisting with overseeing the administrative process for team travel, program budgets, public/alumni relations and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics and Recreation.? Assistants should also understand the Division III philosophy and thrive in an extremely motivated, team oriented atmosphere. Event management or other major duties will be assigned by the Athletic Director.?
