April Kauffman: New Jersey Radio Host (Photos)

There may be a break for the family of April Kauffman. New Jersey radio host, and businesswoman extraordinaire, she was found shot to death in her bedroom last week. Kauffman’s claim to fame was her job as a radio personality in the New Jersey area. She was also well known as a strong advocate for military veterans. Her voice could be heard hosting a show on WOND up until earlier this year. Police believe the murder occurred sometime over night on Thursday. A friend of her’s named Donna Clementoni says she sent the slain DJ an email around 2AM the night before she was found dead. Her friend called her a “local legend,” and says they were planning an event to benefit war veterans together at the time of her death. The most amazing thing I was able to find on her is that she would spend her Thanksgiving providing a loving meal to nearly 50 recruits from the Cape May U.S. Coast Guard Training Center.
